Crafted of pressure-cast aluminum for even heat distribution and exceptional sturdiness, the double-sided plate features a smooth surface ringed by a well on one side and a ribbed rack on the other. Both sides offer a quality non-stick coating fused to the metal for easy food release and cleanup. To use, simply place the plate on any stovetop, including glass, and fire up the burners beneath. I haven't had this Griddle for too long, but I can't see any reason why it shouldn't last. So far it works very well. I's never done bacon on a grill before, but it works so well that I wouldn't do it any other way now. Clean up is very easy and should remain so as long as due care is taken not to scratch it up though the coating seems pretty tough. I like the texture on the coating as well. It works much better for frying since it lets oil remain under the item you are cooking. I have a smooth griddle that gives poor results on things like eggs. The large size means I don't have to pile up a batch of pancakes in the oven until I have enough for everyone. One or two rounds and they are done, all very even and easy to get to with a spatula for turning. The tilt feature works well though I may tighten the screws a little so it doesn't change quite as easily from level to tilted. The picture on the box shows two rows of bacon filling the surface. giving a false impression of it's size. You can cook a pound of bacon at one time , but you have to put about a quarter of the strips horizontal to fit them all on , not like the picture. Still works fine. I use it for Bacon, eggs, pancakes, and flat bread like Naan, Kulcha or Pitas. I'm sure I'll figure out more to do with it as time goes on.

This Grill is great!br /Plug it in, let it warm up for a few minutes to get it to the right temp while you are getting your food ready to grill.br /The grill heats up even everything cooks at the same speed so everything is ready to go at same time which is great when you have hungry kids who don't want to wait for the next round of food, the grill tilts down very easy for grease to run off into the pan.br /The grill is big and can cook alot of food at the same time but thats why i bought it. Perfect for a big family breakfast. Since your grill is so big you will need to find a special place for you to store your grill since it will not fit in the cabinet, but finding that special place is worth it since this grill gets the job done.
